關於父親節英語作文1

You know, Dad, there was a time when we were not only separated by thegeneration gap but completely polarized by it. You stood on one side of theGreat Divide and I on the other, father and daughter split apart by age andexperience, opinions, hairstyles, cosmetics, clothing, curfews, music, andboys.

The Father-Daughter Duel of '54 shifted into high gear when you taught meto drive the old Dodge and I decided I would drive the '54 Chevy whether youliked it or not. The police officer who escorted me home after you reported theChevy stolen late one evening was too young to understand father-daughterpolitics and too old to have much tolerance for a snotty 16 year old. You wereso decent about it, Dad, and I think that was probably what made it the worstnight of my life.

Our relationship improved immensely when I married a man you liked, andthings really turned around when we begin making babies right and left. Wedidn't have a television set, you know, and we had to entertain ourselvessomehow. I didn't know what to expect of you and Mom as grandparents but Ididn't have to wait long to find out. Those babies adored you then just as theyadore you now. When I see you with all your grandchildren, I know you've giventhem the finest gift a grandparent can give. You've given them yourself.

If someone asks me who affects me most in my life, I will definitely tellhim or her that the person should be no one else but my father. As a matter offact, I have been much affected by father‘s humor, kindness, enterprise, strongwill ever since I was a little girl.

Father is well-known for his humor. He always makes use of his wit andhumor to relax tense situation at work. He is m humorous that his colleagues andfriends all enjoy staying with him. He also uses humor to create a very happyfamily atmosphere. My mother tends to chatter over little things. Sometimes shetalks angrily without any pause. When this happens, father just listens to herwithout a word. Why don‘t you say a word, man?, mother is more angry at this time father would give a cup of tea to mother , then replies: Why nothave tea first, my dear? Just take your time to enjoy it. I‘m always yourattentive listener. Hearing these words, mother stops talking with her angergone at once. Such funny scenes often appear between father and mother whichmakes our family life happy and interesting.

Father is also very kind to people. He often invites those poor temporaryworkers who are far away from home to have dinner with us. He always helps ourneighbors repair bikes, fill the flat, fix locks, and so on. Whenever any one isin trouble, he never hesitates to offer his warm hands. All this earns him lotsof friends and their respect as well.

Father is filled with enterprise in his life. He lost many chances ofstudying before for reasons. But he has never given up learning all thetime. He has read many books on architecture in order to work much better as ahouse-builder. He has gone through lots of difficulties because of hisinadequate education. But he hasn‘t lost heart at all. He keeps learning withstrong will. Now he has become a very excellent worker in his company.

My father is the greatest man in the world. His humor, kindness, enterprise, and strong will are always the power of my life. I am very proud ofmy father.

關於父親節英語作文3

The United States is one of the few countries in the world that has an official day on which fathers are honored by their children。 On the third Sunday in June fathers all across the United States are given presents treated to dinner or otherwise made to feel special。 。

The origin of Father"s Day is not clear。 Some say that it began with a church service in West Virginia in 1908。 Others say the first Father"s Day ceremony was held in Vancouver Washington。

Regardless of when the first true Father"s Day occurred the strongest promoter of the holiday was Mrs。 Bruce John Dodd of Spokane Washington。 She thought of the idea for Father"s Day while listening to a Mother"s Day sermon in 1909。

Sonora wanted a special day to honor her father William Smart。 Smart who was a Civil War veteran was widowed when his wife died while giving birth to their sixth child。 Mr。 Smart was left to raise the newborn and his other five children by himself on a rural farm in eastern Washington state。

After Sonora became an adult she realized the selflessness her father had shown in raising his children as a single parent。 It was her father that made all the parental sacrifices and was in the eyes of his daughter a courageous selfless and loving man。 In 1909 Mrs。 Dodd approached her own minister and others in Spokane about having a church service dedicated to fathers on June 5 her father"s birthday。

That date was too soon for her minister to prepar
