朝鮮自創時區 8月起時區推後30分鐘大綱

North Korea is to switch to a new time zone to mark its liberation from the Japanese at the end of World War Two, says state media.
朝鮮官方媒體宣佈，朝鮮將調整所在時區，以紀念二戰末從日本統治下獲得解放。

North Korea is currently in the same time zone as South Korea and Japan, which are nine hours ahead of GMT.
目前朝鮮和日韓兩國同處東九區。

But Pyongyang Time will see the clocks put back by 30 minutes on 15 August.
8月15日，平壤時間將向後調整30分鐘。

State news agency KCNA said "wicked Japanese imperialists" had "deprived Korea of even its standard time" by changing the clocks during occupation.
朝鮮官方新聞機構朝中社稱“邪惡的日本帝國主義者”通過在佔領期間更改時間“剝奪了韓國自己的標準時間”。

The entire Korean peninsula was 8.5 hours ahead of GMT until Japan colonised it in 1910.
整個朝鮮半島在1910年被日本殖民統治前都比標準時間快8.5小時。

KCNA quoted officials as saying the decision to adopt Pyongyang Time reflected "the unshakeable faith and will of people on the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation".
朝中社援引領導人關於使用平壤時間的講話稱，這表明了“朝鮮解放70周年紀念之際人民不可動搖的決心和意志”。

South Korea said the move could cause some short-term inconvenience at the Kaesong industrial plant in North Korea, jointly run by the two Koreas.
韓國認爲這一舉措將在開城工業園造成短暫的不便。該工業園位於朝鮮，由朝韓兩國共同運營。

"And in the longer term, there may be some fallout for efforts to unify standards and reduce differences between the two sides," Unification Ministry official said.
韓國統一部官員稱，“長期來看，這將對統一標準、減少雙方差異的努力造成影響。”

There is no international body that approves a country's change of time zone as countries decide for themselves.
更改時區並不由國際機構批准，各國可以自行決定。
