There was an argument between an oak and a willow, upon the subject of strength, constancy, and patience, and which of the two should be loved by man. The oak criticized the willow that it was weak and wavering, and gave way to wind each time. The willow made no other reply, that the next storm should draw the conclusion.

The owner was expecting a comment or a compliment about this amazing dog, but never got one. As they were returning home, he asked his friend if he had noticed anything unusual about his dog. The friend replied: ”Yes, in fact, I did notice something unusual. Your dog can’t swim.”
