Freedom Choice and Responsibility
自由 選擇 責任I love choices.
我愛選擇。I love to walk around in bookstores-not because I can buy all the books,
我喜歡在書店裏徜徉，不是因爲我能買下所有的書，
but because I could buy one book, and I have so many to choose from.
而是因爲我可以買一本書，我有這麼多的選擇。I like buffets.
我還喜歡自助餐。I rarely get to go to them, but when I do,
雖然我很少去，但是當我去的時候，the first thing I do is walk around and see what the choice are.
我做的第一件事就是四處逛逛，看看有什麼選擇。I also like the internet.
我還喜歡互聯網。It seems like cyberspace really doesn't have any limits.
看來網絡真的沒有任何限制。There are so many things to discover- like space.
有這麼多的東西等待發——比如空間。Sometimes, I think we don't appreciate the freedom that we have.
有時候，我覺得我們不喜歡我們擁有的自由。We are free to make many different choice.
我們可以自由地做出許多不同的選擇。From the food we eat- to the places we visit- to the people we meet- to the classes we take and on and on and on.
從我們所吃的食物到我們去的地方，我們見的人，我們所上的課程等等。But freedom has dangers. If misused, it can be harmful.
但自由也有危險。如果濫用，將會帶來危害。I could pile a mountain of food on my plate and NOT to eat it.
我可以將山一樣的食物堆在我的盤子裏，而我則不去吃它。It would be a waste. But that's a choice I have.
它會是一種浪費。但這是一個選擇。The Internet has dangers, too.
互聯網也有危險。If parents are not careful and don't supervise what their kids can see- well kids can lose some of their innocence because of freedom.
如果父母對他們的孩子所看到的不留神也不監督，那麼孩子們會因爲自由而失去一些他們的無辜的。There's a reason for legal age limits when it comes to driving, gambling, drinking,somking, andvoting.
當涉及駕車、賭博、酗酒、吸菸、和投票時法律會有年齡的限制。Until we reach that age, we aren't free to do those things.
直到我們到了那個年歲，否則我們去做那些事將不會被賦予自由。
