援助組織呼籲全面檢查世界糧食系統

An international aid group is calling for an overhaul of the world's food system, saying prices for staples such as corn will double in the next 20 years. London-based Oxfam released a report Tuesday saying demand for food is expected to rise 70 percent by 2030, as climate change, lower crop yields and rising energy prices pressure food supplies.

The group says those hardest hit will be the poor, who spend as much as 80 percent of their income on report recommends addressing the problem by boosting food reserves, ending the use of food crops in biofuels, and ending speculation in worldwide food also calls for a shift away from large-scale commercial food producers to smaller local growers.一個國際援助組織呼籲對世界糧食系統進行全面檢查，稱諸如玉米等主要食品糧食的價格將會在未來20年內翻倍。總部設立在倫敦的樂施會星期二發佈了一份報告稱，世界糧食需求量將在2030年前增長70%，氣候變化、糧食產量降低以及能源價格增長都爲糧食供應帶來壓力。該組織說，受影響最大的將是低收入的人羣，他們多達80%的收入用來購買食物。
