Lego is considering a brick rental scheme in an attempt to cut down on plastic waste.

He told a Financial Times manufacturing conference: "It has to come down to the value proposition.

Mr Brooks said Lego was exploring several ideas with a view to producing the highest value from products while consuming the least amount of resources.

他說，許多想法“可能永遠也不會實現”，目前也沒有打算試驗租賃計劃。Lego has come under increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint amid growing international alarm about the impact of plastic waste on the environment.

The green trees, plants and flowers were first included in Lego sets late last year but comprise only one - two percent of the total amount of plastic elements produced.
