美國男子屋內噴滿蟑螂藥:小強沒死 房子炸飛

It's a nightmare come true when you've got a cockroach infestation in your house.

家裏蟑螂橫行簡直是夢魘。

It can drive you crazy, cause sleepless nights and cause a lot of damage.

它們到處搞破壞，已把你逼瘋，令你夜不能寐。

So when it all gets too much, what do you do?

You take matters in to your own hands, like this man, who doused his house in roach spray hoping it would do the trick.

你決定出手了，就像這位仁兄，他把家裏噴滿了蟑螂藥，坐等“小強”們死翹。

Except it all went wrong when the buildup of fumes from the household insecticide led to an explosion, which tore apart the house.

但世事就是這麼無常：屋裏的蟑螂噴霧達到一定濃度後，竟然引發了爆炸，房屋被炸碎。

To make it worse, the cockroaches were still there after the blast.

更糟的是，“小強”們安然無恙，倖免於難。

The two adults and a young child who were inside the apartment at the time were taken to hospital as a precaution.

爆炸導致當時在家的兩個大人和一個小孩入院觀察。

The blast smashed all the apartment's windows.

爆炸把公寓的窗玻璃都震碎了。

According to the city's code enforcement officer, the roach spray did not have the intended effect.

據當地的執法官稱，蟑螂藥並沒有發揮出本該有的效用。

Garrett M. Giberson said: 'The unit was infested with roaches. When I got on scene I saw numerous roaches crawling throughout the apartment.'

嘉萊特·M·吉伯森表示：“屋子裏滿是蟑螂。我到達現場後，看到公寓內蟑螂在到處爬。”

He explained how the occupant began experiencing a headache and opened a window after spraying the insecticide.

他解釋稱，噴完殺蟲劑後，屋主會感到頭疼，於是打開窗。

'You had the chemical, you had the oxygen and you had the ignition source,' he said.

他表示：“化學物質，加氧氣，再加上火源。”

'The tenants are lucky because they could have been seriously injured. There had to be quite a buildup of chemicals and fumes from the bug killer to cause an explosion like that.'

“屋主沒有受重傷已算幸運。能發生這樣的爆炸，說明當時屋裏化學物質的濃度肯定已經非常高了。”

The residents are now in temporary shelter provided by The American Red Cross.

屋內住戶目前正在美國紅十字會接受臨時救助。
