讀書筆記：張培基英譯散文 《海上日出》01

中文：
爲了看日出，我常常早起。那時天還沒有大亮，周圍非常清靜，船上只有機器的響聲。

英文：
I would often get up early to watch the sunrise when it was not yet quiet light and all was quiet except for the droning of the ship engine.

要點：
 本段重點在於合譯，譯者增用 了when, and, except for幾個連接詞 ，把漢語表達的意思串聯了起來,表達的邏輯之美由此而生 。

天空還是一片淺藍，顏色很淺。轉眼間天邊出現了一道紅霞，慢慢地在擴大它的範圍，加強它的亮光。我知道太陽要從天邊升起來了，便不轉眼地望着那裏。

英文：
The sky was pale with a bluish hue. Soon a streak of pink dawn broke over the horizon，expanding gradually and becoming brighter and brighter. Knowing that the sun was about to rise, I had my eyes fixed on the distant edge of the sea.

要點： 

1，“還沒有大亮”=be not quiet light，在《看月》中，有個“沒有‘斷黑’”= is not yet quite dark，“大亮”“斷黑”都是程度副詞+形容詞的結構，通常用quiet+adj結構

2，“機器的響聲”譯爲the droning of the ship engine.。“機器”這裏指輪船上的steam engine,即蒸汽發動機，不宜譯爲macine.另外“響聲”譯爲droning,表示機器的單調低沉的嗡嗡響聲，較單純的sound更有形象感

3，“淺藍”=bluish，意爲“帶點藍的，淺藍色的”， -ish這個後綴表示”帶…性質的，稍…的“，在《離別》和《杜鵑》中，我們也見到過此類構詞法，這類表示顏色的詞大家要注意，因爲文學作品中出於細節刻畫的需要，會將顏色描寫得十分具體，翻譯時也要注重選詞的準確和美感哦~

4，“天邊”是指海天交接之處，即“地平線”，譯爲the horizon，之後的“那裏”文中處理爲the distant edge of the sea,避免了重複

5，“一道紅霞”也可譯爲a streak of rosy dawn或a rosy streak of dawn

綜述：
本文是一篇寫景短文，文字簡潔樸素，細節化的描寫使得文章繪聲繪色，因此文章雖短，但由於細節較多，所以也不是很好譯哦
