Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I'm very glad to stand here and giveyou a short speech. today my topic is "youth". I hope you will like it , andfound the importance in your youth so that more cherish it. Do you know what isyouth? How do you master your youth?

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is thefreshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of theappetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We growold by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul y , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust her 60 of 16 , there is in every human being 's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game ofliving . In the center of your heart and my heart there's a wireless station :so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power frommen and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows ofcynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but aslong as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you maydie young at 80.

Thank you!

Good morning, it's my honor to stand here and give you this speech aboutdreams. There I want to start my speech with two short stories.

The first story happened when I was in primary school, I wrote in mycomposition that my dream was to be a teacher when I grew up. Meanwhile, what myclassmates wrote about their dreams was that he or she wanted to be a doctor, ascientist or an astronaut. ??

The second story happened at my first year in university. At the careersplanning class, when the teacher asked about our dreams, one of my classmatesstood up and said, “I want to be a farmer, because I grow up in a farmer'sfamily and I love to be engaged in agriculture.” When he sat down, everyoneclapped.

These two stories happened during my growth process, from which I got myunderstanding of dreams. When I was a child I believed that a dream must be abig dream, but when I grow up I find this big dream is so far away from me, Iknow little about it, and I have done nothing to achieve it, so it's not mydream. My classmate's answer let me know a real dream is not just about being agreat man, or doing a great job, it's about what you really want to be, and arewilling to try every effort to pursue it.

Because what makes a dream valuable is not just about the result, it's alsoabout the process, the process when you are trying, when you are struggling, when you failed and restarted again and again, because of the process, dreamscan be meaningful and become your wealth.?? Thank you.

I enter tile university after years of hardstudy and preparation. But lifein the university is not as satisfactory as what I had expected.

I become lazy and don't want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. Idon't know what I can do in the future.

Then I become unhappy. Four years in the university is only a short periodwhen compared my whole lifetime.

Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents, myfriends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life.

I don't want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style.

So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five 'svery happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the UniversityStudent Volunteers Go West Programe.

I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help themand help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I can't reach its demand andit's very diffcult, but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an oldsaying"where there is a will, there is a way."I think my dream can come n the university I mature, and in the university I prepare for the realworld.

At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter howbig or small they path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even somesacrifices are hold on to the end,you can find there is no geaterhappiness than making your dream come ture."

Distinguished judges, teachers, dear friends

Hello, everybody! My name is, I come from. Today, I am very glad to standhere and share with you my most sincere speech‘Flying youth, master ourfuture!’

Life is a process of growing up. Saying goodbye to childhood, we step intoanother important time of life‘the youth’ver, who can really say what theyouth is ? A period of time? A belief? An attitude to life? Or anything else? Wedon’t know.

A famous poet said ‘ youth is a lovely song ,where nothing is impossible ;youth is a meaningful book, you’ll be never bored of it ;youth is a rapid river,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it shows youdifferent kinds of tastes in your life. ’

As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it ’t let thelimited time pass by, leaving nothing of significance to our future. Actually, youth has a lot to do with our future. It’s necessary for us to prepareourselves well for the future to come. So, what should we do? Here ,I’ll pointout some tips to help equip ourselves

First of all, recognize the direction of your future. In other word, thinkof what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor ? A writer? Don’t afraidof thinking big and great e you are young , you can dream of doing anythingand becoming anyone in the future

What’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books andtravel around. For one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’llbroaden your horizon.

Last but not the least , stick to your dream. It easier said than r all, future is not all roses. So, we should have enough courage anddetermination to overcome all the difficulties.

I firmly believe one sentence that‘If you think you can, of course youcan!’Just believe we can make it! Keep on walking towards our dream. Flyingyouth ,master our future. From today, from now on ,from Duping Middle School !Ready ?

That’s all. Thank you so much for your attention !
