Today is an excellent day for small improvements. Whatever is working foryou, find a way to improve it just a little. There’s no need to make a hugechange, just a small one, something you can do right now.

If you called just one additional customer each day, over the course of thenext Month you would talk to about 20 new people. If you learned just one morenew word each day, in the next year you would increase your vocabulary by morethan 300 words.

Small improvements can add up over time into big accomplishments. Lookaround you. Consider the work you do each day. Think about how you could do itjust a little bit better.

In a marathon race, each step the winner takes is just a little bit longerand a little bit faster than each stride taken by the 100th place finisher. Yetover the course of the race, that small difference adds up in a big way.

Do just a little bit more today, and tomorrow too, and each day after ne can make just a small improvement, and that can make a big, bigdifference.

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is thefreshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of theappetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We growold by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul y , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure ofwonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the gameof living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and powerfrom men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows ofcynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but aslong as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you maydie young at 80.

Thank you!

On the night of March 1, the 76th Annual Academy Awards was shown ontelevision. After watching it, I had a dream, a sudden wish, that some day, Icould receive an Oscar award, or a nomination, for a movie I've made.

While I was schooling in Australia, my friends from school andI received an assignment one day, "To make a ten to twenty minute movie on the topic of yourchoice." At the time, the trend was based around the popular Matrix movietrilogy, so that became our obvious choice.

Because our schedule was very tight, and it was a first time experience, wefound it all very hard work, but when we released our production at school, itwas worth it. After my friends and I showed the movie, we could not get from oneend of the school to the other without getting congratulated about five or sixtimes. We, especially I, were proud. We made a school-wide sensation.

From then on, I became obsessed with how to make movies and how filming isdone. I just wanted to know about everyone and everything that has something todo with movies. I would watch a movie four to five times, just to find out howone camera angle, or

special effect was produced. I found everything I watched quite amazing. Isometimes admired directors and producers of these films because the techniquesthey use are so smart. Their cleverness inspired me to make and act inmovies.

When I become little bit older, I would like to attend a movie academy inBeijing or Shanghai, then America, or England, after some training andexperience, I would like to make a movie, which will most likely be an actionmovie, which is my favorite kind of movie to watch.. If I am lucky, I hope Iwould get an Oscar Award for this movie. I think that would be quite achallenge, but it’s not impossible. For now, it’s back to watching movies overand over again for me!

勵志青春的英語演講稿4

I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill andmountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crookedplaces will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, andall flesh shall see it together.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changingworld seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow inthe process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbyeunconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they representpossibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Mostsuccessful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid tothink big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed ofdoing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to dois to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, thetoughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams intoactions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t letthe nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of ugh our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through ourcreativity, we will make it.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird thatcannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren fieldfrozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead ever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

I am grateful for the opportunity to deliver my speech here after 7-days’preparation with my friend Jinly. Thanks to Jinly’s strong support in our work.I think it is my way of saying thank you to you that giving an excellentpresentation to all my friends here.

The subject of our presentation is “YOUR DREAM & YOUR GOAL”. During thenext 10 minutes, we’ll give you a brief explanation of these stuff at the bestof our knowledge.

First of all, I’d like to spent 3 or 5 minutes on discussing about thedream. When we were 5, they asked us what we want to be when we grow up. Weanswered like superman, princess, or in my case, a sailor moon. When we were 10,again they asked and the answer was policemen, doctors and some otherhigh-principled jobs. But unfortunately, we finally found our dreams unrealisticas we entered a not-so-good high school, did not-so-good school works and wentto a not-so-good direction in our life. I guess, many of you have thought aboutchanging your dreams, but finally felt at a loss again. Yep! We’re adults andthey are waiting for a serious answer. Well, how about this? WHO THE HELL KNOWS!Dream is only a dream. It’s unnecessary for us to think over our dreams all daylong. You know, dreams always change, and this is not the time to make difficultdecisions. But what do dreams do? Why do we still have an urgent need ofdreams?

Think about it: do you have had a time when you were full of happiness justbecause you have made an achievement that pushes you a bit to your dream? Do youhave had a time when you insist on what you were doing even the tears keepfalling from your eyes? That is the power from dreams! May I equate the faithand the dream here? As we all know, aims and dreams are far from each other tosome extent but close to each other on the other hand. Just like the parabolaand the number line in mathematics. But it is the dream that help us to map outour aim and work out plans one after another in our life. Just like what HowardSchultz, the founder of the Starbuck said, Dreams are like the stars----we neverreach them, but like mariners, we chart our course by them. And I believe thatif you have a dream and make efforts step by step, some of you may extremelyfinish the quantitative change on the way to success and reach the qualitativechange!

I would like to finish my part by a tongue twister: Whether the weather befine or whether the weather be not. Whether the weather be cold or whether theweather be hot. We'll weather the weather whether we like it or not. Whateveryou dreams are and however difficult it is to realize them. Reach your aim stepby step and I believe your dreams will extremely come into truth!

Thank you for your lending an attentive ear to my point of ’swelcome Jinly and she will talk about the goal, which is the other part ofour presentation, during the next 5 minutes.

Forgive my stupid words and it’s my pleasure to answer any of yourquestions after class!

You have been a very attentive audience---- thank you~!
