英語中否定式的注意要點講解

編者按：英語的否定式中否定詞not常常放在謂語中第1個動詞(助動詞或者系動詞、情態動詞)的後面。下面小編就來帶你一起學習下否定式的注意要點，希望對大家有幫助。

下面請看否定式的一些注意要點：

　　1.由於動詞型的現在一般時中沒有助動詞，變成否定式時必須加上一個助動詞do(遇到第三人稱單數用does)

We do not eat snakes.

我們不吃蛇。

She does not speak Cantonese.

她不會說廣東話。

同理，動詞型過去一般時中也沒有助動詞，變成否定式時必須加上一個助動詞did：

They did not keep their promise.

他們沒有遵守諾言。

He did not cry.

他沒有哭。

　　2.當謂語中第一個動詞是情態動詞時，not同樣放在該情態動詞後面

肯定式：I can tell you the truth.

我能夠把實情告訴你。

否定式：I can not tell you the truth.

我不能把實情告訴你。

肯定式：You must do it.

你必須做。

否定式：You must not do it.

你不能做。

　　3.助動詞(系動詞、情態動詞)與not在口語裏常縮成一個單詞

aren’t，isn’t

don’t，doesn’t，didn’t

wouldn’t，shouldn’t，can’t，couldn’t

hasn’t，haven’t，hadn’t

won’t = will not，shan’t = shall not

注意：

ain’t在美式英語中常用，但是不規範，代替am not, is not, arenot, has not, have not。讀作[eint]。

例句：

If you think thatyou are not rich, then you are not.【找誰依靠】

如果你認爲自己不富裕，那你確實不富裕。

It was Mother-she did not love Daddy and shedid not love me.【愛情與金錢】

就是媽媽——她不愛爸爸，也不愛我。

but they would not be our world and they would not have our history.【TED演講】

毫無疑問，它們會很驚人，令人感到不可能的驚人。

She had not told him. At the last moment she had not been brave enough.【德伯家的苔絲】

她還是沒有告訴他。在這最後時刻，她失去了足夠的勇氣。
