英語四級試題翻譯類型題技巧
在備考英語四級的時候，同學們認爲最難的還是翻譯題型。在做翻譯題的時候要掌握方法，方法用對，學習才能提高效率。
1. 切分成小句子。
中文句式長短交錯，在翻譯時一定會遇到比較複雜的句子。面對長句，最簡單的方法是切分成小短句進行翻譯。雖然譯文結構會比較散，但只要語法正確，就不會失分，是一個保底的方法。但切分句子時要注意一點，即主謂一致。
2. 分析邏輯關係。
不管是中文還是英文，句子都不是簡單地堆砌在一起的，而是有一定的邏輯關係。因此要產出語意連貫的譯文，就要保留原文的邏輯關係。常見的邏輯關係有：
(1)並列關係。並列關係很常見，中文的“也”、“不但……而且”、“還”等都表示並列關係，英文一般用and連接，相似的連接方式還有also, not only…but also等。如：團圓飯是一年中最重要的晚餐，也是家庭團聚的最佳時機。The reunion meal is not only the most important dinner in a year but also the best opportunity for family reunion.
(2)因果關係。因果關係的句子一般可以根據中文的連詞“因爲”判斷出來，英文中有多種處理方法，最常用的是用連詞because，也可以用介詞for、due to、分詞、in that等引導從句。比如：在中國的許多地方，餃子也是一道重要的佳餚，因爲餃子象徵着財富和好運。Another important dish served in many places of China is dumpling because it’s the symbol of fortune and good luck. 也可以說Another important dish served in many places of China is dumpling for it’s the symbol of fortune and good luck. 要注意一點，一般情況下，中文會先給原因後結果，英文傾向於先給出結果。如：然而，因爲烹飪方式各異，同類食物的味道可能會有所不同。However, same food can taste different due to the diversity in cooking methods. 在轉換成英文時把原因放後面會更符合英文的表達習慣。
(3)修飾關係。句子中有重複的名詞，可以判斷一下是不是修飾關係，如：團圓飯上的菜餚豐富多樣，其中有些菜餚有特殊含義。後半句的主語“菜餚”在前半句出現過，這種情況我們就可以考慮是不是可以用定語從句。There are many dishes on the reunion dinner, some of which have special meanings. 這裏我們把dishes作爲先行詞，把後半句譯成which引導的定語從句，達到了語意緊湊的效果。
(4)比較關係。對於兩個事物的比較，中文會用“而”或者並列結構來體現，在南北方飲食習慣差異這一篇中可見一斑。英文表達比較和對比一般會用while、whereas等來連接，如：北方人主要吃麪食，南方人大多吃米飯。Northerners mainly eat food made from wheat, whereas southerners mostly eat rice.
(5)讓步關係。中文中“即使”、“雖然”、“儘管”等表達的是讓步的邏輯，在英文中用連詞despite、though、although等連接。如：今天，儘管人們越來越富裕了，但他們仍然認爲節省是一種值得弘揚的美德。Today, although people are getting more affluent, they still regard thrifty as a virtue worth praising.
3. 使用亮點句型。
強調句。被強調的信息，中文用“正”、“正如”、“正是”等表示，英文使用It is … that 引導的強調句是非常好的表達。如：正由於這個象徵性的含義，春節期間魚也作爲禮物被送給親戚朋友。It is because of such symbolic meaning that fish is sent as a gift among relatives and friends during the Spring Festival.
4. 變句子爲短語。
當然，除了使用連詞連接句子，使用介詞短語、分詞短語、同位語等也是英文的一大特色，這樣可以表達更復雜的信息，同時保持簡潔。我們一起來看一下：團圓飯是一年中最重要的晚餐，也是家庭團聚的最佳時機，家人生活在不同地方的家庭尤其如此。這句話除了可以處理成上面提到的並列關係，也可以將“團圓飯是一年中最重要的晚餐”處理成as引導的短語，或者同位語，或者分詞短語，即As the most important meal of the entire year, the New Year’s Eve dinner is the perfect time for family reunion, especially for family members who live apart.
