（高頻詞彙）be用法綜述

在美國當代英語語料庫統計的20000個常用詞中，be位列動詞榜第一名，在4.5億個單詞中出現了12545825次。因爲熟悉我們總以爲掌握了它全部的用法，但是除了作系動詞，這些用法你都知道嗎？

頻率最高的搭配：

詞形變化：

am,is,are; was,were；been

詞義解析：

to say something about a person, thing, or state, to show a permanent or temporary quality, state, job, etc.
（用來說明人、事物或狀態，表示性質、狀態、工作等）

He is wealthy. 他很富有。

It's hot today. 今天很熱。

What do you want to be (= what job do you want to do) when you grow up? 你長大後想做什麼？

[ + -ing verb ] The problem is deciding what to do. 問題在於決定要幹什麼。

[ + to infinitive ] The hardest part will be to find a right place. 最困難的就是找合適的地方。

[ + that ] The general feeling is that she should be promoted. 大家普遍認爲她應該被晉升。

It's not that I don't like her - it's just that we rarely agree on anything! 並不是我不喜歡她，只是我們看法很少相同！
