形容詞性物主代詞只能當定語;名詞性物主代詞可以當主語、表語、賓語。

一. 形容詞性物主代詞當定語

1. 英語中表示身體所有的、隨手攜帶的常用形容詞性物主代詞，漢語中卻沒有這樣的使用習慣。

2. 形容詞性物主代詞與 own 連用表示強調。

I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. 直到我親眼看到我纔會相信。

3. 以下結構中，必須用 the ，而不能用形容詞性物主代詞。

touch sb. on the head 摸某人的頭

hit sb. in the face 打某人的臉

hit sb. on the nose 打某人的鼻子
