實用口語:做事不要“拖拖拉拉”
做事情既不能心急火燎、急功近利，也不能拖拖拉拉，浪費時間。在英文裏表示“拖拖拉拉”可以用 Don't let the grass grow under one's feet。Grass 就是指草，Don't let the grass grow under one's feet 從字面上來解釋就是“不要讓草在你腳底下長出來”，實際上也就是說“不要什麼事也不幹，浪費時間（連草都長出來了，時間可是夠長的）”。我們來舉一個例子吧：
Right now the house is a real bargain. Don't let the grass grow under your feet -- sign the agreement today before somebody grabs it.
這是一個房產經紀人在對一個買主說話。他說：“現在房產價格實在是非常便宜。你不要浪費時間，最好今天就籤合同，免得給別人把這棟房子搶走。”
Don't let the grass grow under your feet 是推銷產品的人經常說的話。下面的例子是一個汽車商在對顧客說話：
I tell you, don't let the grass grow under you feet -- this is the last day of this sale and the price on this model goes up a thousand dollars tomorrow!
他說：“我告訴你，今天是這次減價的最後一天。這種型號的車子，明天就要上漲一千美元。所以你不要猶豫不決，浪費時間。”
