Steven meets Mrs. Henderson in the doorway,and they get chatting with each other.

史蒂文在門口遇見漢德森太太，他們就聊起天來。

Steven: Hi, Mrs. Henderson.

史蒂文：你好啊，漢德森太太。

Mrs. Henderson: Hi, Steven. Do you have time and chat with me?

漢德森太太：你好，史蒂文。你有時間和我聊聊嗎？

Steven: Of course I have plenty of time. What's new?

史蒂文：當然，我有的是時間。有什麼新鮮事嗎？

Mrs. Henderson: The new couple next door divorced. Have you heared about it?

漢徳森太太：隔壁那對新婚夫婦離婚了，你聽說了嗎？

Steven: No. The Hills? Who filed for divorce first?

史蒂文：沒有，希爾夫婦嗎？誰提出的離婚呢？

Mrs. Henderson: I guess it is Mrs Hill. She sued for divorce on the grounds of her husband's misconduct with his secretary.

漢徳森太太：我猜是希爾太太吧！她以希爾先生與祕書有染爲由，提起離婚訴訟。

Steven: Oh, maybe not. It's just your guess. Do not give currency to idle gossip.

史蒂文：哦，或許不是吧。那只是你的猜想，不要傳播閒言吧。

Mrs. Henderson: OK. I close my mouth.

漢徳森太太：好吧，我不說了。
