我們在第26課講解瞭如何提出邀請，今天學學如何回覆邀請。您的朋友對您作出了以下邀請：would you like to go out with me for a dinner tonight?，那麼你可以如何來回復這個晚餐邀請呢？下面，我們分不同的狀況來回復：

1．你正好很想去，也有時間：

Great, I’d love to, would you like to pick me up at the gate of school? 太棒了，我太想去了，你能到學校大門口來接我嗎？
Wonderful, it’s so nice of you. Shall we meet at 7 at your place? 好極了，你真好，我們晚上7點鐘到你那兒集合好嗎？
Sounds great, I love pizza, can we have pizza tonight? 聽上去太好了，我喜歡比薩，我們晚上去吃比薩好嗎？

2. 你很想去，但正好有其它事情(或其它原因)不能去：

That’s great, but I’m afraid I won’t be available tonight; can we make it some other time? 很好啊，但我恐怕今晚沒時間，下一次吧。
I love to have a dinner with you, but I’m preoccupied tonight, how about tomorrow night? 我很樂意和你一起吃晚餐，但我今晚事先有安排，明晚怎樣？
You’re so sweet, but may we fix another time, I don’t feel like going out tonight. 你真好，能重新安排個時間嗎，今晚有點不想出門。

3．你不太想去，但還要溫婉拒絕：

I’d love to, but you know, I’m not feeling well today, I do need a rest. 我很想去，但你知道，我今天有點不舒服，我想休息一下。
I’d love to, however…I have to work extra hours tonight, you know, there’s an urgent email to deal with. 我很想去，但是…今晚我要加班，有個緊急的郵件要處理。
Well, I’d love to, but…the weather forecast says it’s going to rain tonight. 這樣啊，我真的很想去…但是…天氣預報說今晚會下雨。
