well, honestly i have to say this is a strange question.

anyway, the first person that comes to my mind is one of my roommates in college.

the boy is tall and slim, but in good shape.

he plays basketball almost everyday, and he plays quite well.

what’s special about this boy is that he has a better temper than anyone i’ve seen on this planet.

because we live in the same dormitory, i saw him a lot.

but for so many rs i never saw him in anger, nor did he show any hint of dissatisfaction against the college, or the teachers, or even the dining hall.

and he kept a big smile on his face to everyone.

he’s a good fellow, and i wish one day i could be as liberal as him.

女版:

Lisa is a cute girl with long hair.

she likes to wear in pink.

we share a double-deck bed in the dormitory.

she is just so nice and sweet all the time.

like once, i was sick with fever and laid on my bed all day long.

i refused to eat or drink, and complained of the dizziness a lot.

搬來一起住的人:我的大學同學Jenny

何時搬來/住在哪裏:大學畢業之後,和我在同一個城市工作生活,所以一起租房。我們有各自的臥室,但共用廚房和浴室。

對這個人的瞭解:介紹長相、怎樣認識對方、以及她的興趣愛好。

如何相處:Jenny非常擅長烹飪,每天下班比我早,她主動承擔了買菜做飯的家務。同時,她也是個好的傾聽者,在我失落時總會安慰和幫助我。

感受:非常珍惜我們之間的友誼,會一直互相扶持。

Sample answer

The person who I want to talk about is my friend Jenny. She was my classmate when we were at university. She moved to live with me after graduation. We work in a city far from our hometown, and we rent an apartment together. So, now she is my roommate. We have our own bedrooms, but we share the kitchen and bathroom.

To tell the truth, not one single facial feature of hers could be defined as “perfect”ver, her face is a flawless (完美的)combination of all the imperfect features. Also, she always shows elegant(優雅的)manners and, with her fine taste for fashion, appears in the right clothes in any occasions. In university, although being classmates, we didn’t get familiar with each other in the first few days. Not until both of us joined the dancing club at the college. It was in the club that she and I started talking and gradually developed friendship.

After we live together, I find that she is really good at cooking, and always runs a respectable house. Since she gets off work earlier than me, so she does grocery shopping and cooks dinner every day. Also, she’s a good listener, and every time I feel depressed, she comforts me and helps me. I know that working far from home is difficult for both of us, so I really treasure our friendship,and we will support each other forever.

  雅思考試口語評分四大標準及得分要素

標準一:語言的流暢度與連貫性Fluency &Coherence

考官會聽什麼:

(1)語言是否流暢。考生能否連續地說,還是需要放慢語速才能繼續說下去?是否需要重複說過的話才能保證不停頓?能否自然地使用話語標記?

(2)語言是否連貫。考生說的話是否言之有理?是否回答了問題?能夠一直緊密圍繞着話題講嗎?

得分要素:我們在書中編排了一些可改善語言流暢度和連貫性的練習。由於語言是一個有機的整體,豐富的詞彙能使你的語言變得更通順——你腦海中的詞彙越多,你就越能自然流暢地表達自己的觀點,也就能避免發言時卡殼和放慢語速,而這些正是將考生得分侷限在5 分以下的問題。

標準二:語法知識的廣度及準確度Grammatical Range &Accuracy

考官會聽什麼:

(1)語法廣度。考生是否能運用簡單句和複合句?是否會使用各種時態?

(2) 語法準確度。考生用的語法準確嗎?是否用對了形容詞比較級和名詞複數形式?是否能意識到主謂一致?動詞的形式是否正確?代詞和介詞的使用是否正確?

得分要素:考生需要向考官展示出自己能正確運用語法的能力,比如能正確使用介詞和動詞時態。但只是做到準確還不夠,考生還要掌握各種語法結構。考官會看考生有沒有正確使用話語標記?是否能使用複合句?介詞用對了嗎?會使用比較級嗎?能運用幾種動詞時態?會使用條件句嗎?

標準三:詞彙Vocabulary

考官會聽什麼:

考生的詞彙量有多大?所用詞彙是否多數屬於基本詞彙,只是偶爾夾雜一兩個不常用的詞彙?詞彙的使用是否正確?是否能夠始終用豐富的詞彙表達各種意思?

得分要素:背單詞的確會有用,但掌握詞彙的捷徑永遠是閱讀。如果你真想得到7 分,你就應該開始閱讀英語書籍。

標準四:發音Pronunciation

考官會聽什麼:

(1)語音。考生是否能夠掌握好英語的發音,比如development或 vital 中v的發音?語音是否容易讓人理解?

(2)節奏。考生是否能夠掌握英語的說話節奏?停頓的地方正確嗎?語言的語調和重音是否自然?

得分要素:多數中國考生能讓考官比較容易地理解他們的意思。但問題是,許多考生掌握不好說英語的節奏。在當今社會,音頻資源唾手可得,所以這個問題還是能通過不斷模仿和練習來克服的。

7 分 Good operational command of the language,though with occasional inaccuracies,inappropriateness and misunderstandings in rally handles complex language well and understands detailed reasoning. 良好,有能力運用英語,雖然在某些情況下有時會發生不準確、不適當和誤解,大致掌握複雜的英語,也理解其全部內容。

6 分 Competent generally effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies,inappropriateness and misunderstandings。 Can use and understand fairly complex language,particularly in familiar situations. (澳大利亞移民、英國留學分數線)及格,雖然有不準確、不適當和誤解發生,但大致能有效地運用英語,能使用並理解相當複雜的英語,特別是在熟悉的情況下。

5 分 Modest partial command of the language,coping with overall meaning in most situations,though is likely to make manv ld be able to handle basic communication in own field. (加拿大移民、新西蘭移民分數線) 適當及格,可部分運用英語,在大多數情況下可應付全部的意思,雖然可能犯下許多錯誤,在本身領域內應可掌握基本的溝通。

4 分 Limited User. Basic competence is limited to familiar frequent problems in understanding and not able to use complex language. (英國預科分數線)水平有限,只限在熟悉的狀況下有基本的理解力,在理解與表達上常發生問題,無法使用複雜英語。

3 分 Extremely Limited User. Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations. Frequent breakdowns in communication occur. 水平極有限,在極熟悉的情況下,只能進行一般的溝通理解。

2 分 Intermittent real communication is possible except for the most basic information using isolated words or short formulae in familiar situalions and to meet immediate great difficulty understanding spoken and written English. 只臺目禺爾使用英語,除非在熟悉的情況下能使用單詞和簡短的短句表達最基本的信息,在說寫方面有重大的障礙。

1分 Non User. Essentially has no ability to use the language beyond possibly a few isolated words.不能通過,可能只能說幾個單詞,無法溝通。
