It would strike twelve in twenty minutes' time. Fifteen minutes passed, and then, at five to twelve, the clock stopped.
再過20分鐘，大鐘將敲響12下。15分鐘過去了，而就在11點55分時，大鐘停了。
2.發音重點
strike:不要讀成“絲拽克”，注意捲舌音r不要丟。
Twenty:這裏可以把第二個t發音省略掉，類似例子有Interview，Internet等。
Stop:不要讀成“絲到潑”，注意字母o在這裏發一個很舒展的[ɑ]音。
